There is contextual advertising where an ad usually has a title text with a small description of a product that when clicked leads to an advertiser's website. Banner advertising usually consists of an image advertisement in flash, .gif, .jpg, etc. Insertial advertising is a graphic or media rich advertisement that is displayed in between two pages during navigation of a website. These ads can stay for up minute before forwarding to the intended page. Fly-In advertising works similar to a pop-up advertisement except it does not open new browser applications or windows. Instead it comes in from the actual page visited and has the option to be closed. Pop-Up or Pop-Under advertisingopens a new browser window with a graphic advertisement either in front of a page (pop-up) or behind a page (pop-under). At times the new browser can also open a whole new website. All of these types of advertisements can be ran on CPM or CPC models.
