Resurrection fern, it is dead looking and dried up and lives on tree branches and when it rains it comes to life and the old oak trees have green ferns living all over the nooks and crannies and branches...really pretty and unusual
Air Plants, many varieties, different appearances, need no care, just live in the trees and live off the rain and moisture from the air. (actually orchiads are a type of bromiliad or air plant, but the green leaf only air plants almost look like aloe in the trees)
Aloe is another unusual plant. It is great for burns and cuts, grows practically wild in florida, attracts hummingbirds with its flowers, and has thorns on its leaves, which are thick and succulant, for protection.
