Well as you all must know Illusrator deals with Vector graphic (cartoon-like) so if you're creating a cartoon-like graphic then Illustrator is one of the best softwares you can use because unlike Photoshop no matter how many times you magnify the image the quality stays the same so the image is not blurry and pix-elated like it would be in Photoshop if you were to zoom into it.

Adobe Illustrator software is used to make illustrations. For eg: Children books with so many Cartoons(illustrations) are made in this software. you can also make labels in it ( used in packaging like tea label, medicine label etc...).
