What are the virulence factors of genital warts?

Answer:
Genital warts are the result of infection with HPV, human papillomavirus, and it is highly contagious. Men and women can have them. You can be infected for months or even years before warts appear. It is spread through skin-to-skin contact during oral, anal and/or vaginal sex with an infected partner. It can be passed on to a partner even if there are no warts, or if there have not yet been warts. The infected partner may not even know of the infection. There is no cure, but the warts can be managed. Eliminating the warts may reduce the chances of transmission to others, but there are not studies yet that indicate this.
