If there is a good amount of information entered into the site this is one way to make it credible. Look for endings on some sites like .edu sites are very credible because they are used for education, .gov sites are also credible because they are government sites. All sites should have a sources spot on the page so we know where they got their information.
if it has the person responsible for that site, the date that it was last upgraded, if it shows sources that are reliable, if advertising is present, and if the data shown has supporting details... take this site... most of things don't show up. Be warned, this ISN'T a very good site...
Well, it depends on what type of website.
If an online game with username and password,
1.It doesn't ask for your real name
2.It has a question and answer area
3.It says to never tell your password or real name.
If an informational website:
1. It's neat and tidy
2. You can send a question to it
3. It's better if it has a certain topic
If it's a questioning website (Like this one!)
1. It has a question search
2. You don't need an account to ask something.
3. It has topics
In general look for a tidy website, that doesn't want your personal information, and that actually helps you.
A reliable website is up to date and cites its sources. Expertise and links to other reputable websites are other things to look for when looking for a reliable website.
