∙ 12y agoA Virus in a computer is a common type of thing that generates through computers. There are different types of virus such as a trojan virus..ect...some examples could be your computer being very slow and acting up. Another could be is it could be eating your files up and it wont let you open anything! not even the internet! ( i know because this has happened to me!) and there is plenty of more reasons. the only thing you can do is get a protection and NOT DOWNLOADED FROM THE INTERNET! buy one from the store. Viruses are headaches and they suck but you gotta prevent it! hope this helps! and if you have anymore questions just message me! i specialize in computers! okay have a great day!

Ilovu.exe - Best know has I love you virus it deletes you Boot.LOG and fills it with (maybe mayla language ) Love letter .
and last the well know Y2K which was over hyped
y2k.bat/why2k.exe -- Was told to crash Computers the moment it entered and also crash the bios and also change CMOS config and hide there too . But it turned out to be a virus which would only reset ur time to 1990 12:00 1.1.1990 .

∙ 9y agoThere are many examples of computer viruses and related Malware.
One old virus was called Stoned. When you turned on the PC, it would display a message that your computer is stoned, and some versions said to "legalise marijuana." It was written in New Zealand, so it used international English spellings. It was a boot sector virus. So if someone put a diskette into the floppy drive, the virus would copy it's code to the boot sector of the floppy. Then if you tried to boot another machine off of that same floppy, it would copy the virus into the boot sector of any hard drive that might be present.
There have been a few computer viruses named AIDS. One such virus would display a message saying that the computer was infected with the AIDS virus because someone dropped a disk in a toilet bowl. It was likely a boot sector virus.
Michelangelo was another old virus. One way people could tell they had it was that the reported RAM was wrong. It loaded itself high into conventional memory and then protected that region. It was rather harmless except for when it was Michelangelo's birthday.
