Protists are organisms in the kingdom Protista. These organisms are eukaryotes, meaning they are made up of single or multiple cells which all contain a nucleus enclosed by a membrane. The protists are a diverse group of eukaryotes that cannot be classified as animals, plants, or fungi. Organisms in the Protista kingdom include amoebae, red algae, dinoflagellates, diatoms, euglena and slime molds.
Protist are grouped into 3 main groups they are used in things such as food and toothpaste protists almost wiped out the French wine industry. Protists are the eukaryotic organisms that doesn't fit into any other kingdoms. The kingdom protista itself was broken down into many other kingdoms because of protist's diversity. * Protists are either autotrophic, hetrotrophic, or mixotrophic. * Protists reproduce either sexually, asexually, and some even do both in their life cycle. * Protists are either unicellular, multicellular, or colonial. * Some also have cell wall composed of cellulose. * Many are parasitic. Some examples are: Plasmodium, a protist that cause malaria, Trypanosoma, a protist that cause African sleeping sickness, and dinoflagellate that cause the red tide. * Kelps and seaweeds are protists. * They may contain chlophyll a, b, c, or even d.
1. They cause malaria and the sleeping sickness.
That's all I remember from Biology class today. O.o
most are unicellular or simple muli-cellur.
cells share a true nucleus plant like, animal like of fungi like
-Protists are eukaryotes.
-They have cells with a membrane-bound nucleus.
-They have DNA which is associated with histone proteins.
Well some protists move with cilia and flagella.
It is in the protista kingdom.
paramecium and amoebas belong to protista kingdom because they both are protists.
What Kingdom is similar to Kingdom Protista
The amoebas are in the protista kingdom.
The Kingdom Protista was thought to be evolved 1.5 billion years ago through endosymbiosis. The Kingdom Protista contains life-forms similar to those that gave rise to the three kingdoms of multicellular organisms-fungi, plants, and animals.
Archaezoa, Protista, and Chromista

The amoebas are in the protista kingdom.
Kingdom Protista consists mostly of single-celled and simple multicelluular organisms.

In the five kingdom system, the three kingdoms that have organisms capable of photosynthesis are some bacteria (mainly cyanobacteria) in the Kingdom Monera, algae in the Kingdom Protista, and plants in the Kingdom Plantae.

animallike protist, plantlike protist, and fungilike prostist make up the kingdom Protista.
