1) Astronomer Edwin Hubble discovered that most celestial objects were moving away from each other, due to the red-shift of the light coming from them. This means that if you go back in time, all matter in the Universe must have been born from a single point.

2) The Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation is the remnant of the Big Bang 'explosion', showing that the Universe has eventually cooled down.

3) All matter in the Universe is made up of around 75% Hydrogen, 24% Helium and 1% of everything else. This is as predicted by the Big Bang theory.
