What are three things that helps a auditory learner at school?

Answer:
One thing that helps is buy textbooks in PDF format and buy a text to speech program that reads the book. (use quality AT&T voices) This doesn't mean they are a poor reader, they may read well but fail to grasp what they are reading because they don't hear the words; they only see them. They can also improve comprehension by reading aloud if no one is around

Ask the teacher if he can record lectures; then play them back

Auditory learners often miss key points while writing notes on previous information; therefore missing current information; ask a friend to take notes or have a teacher like me who gives notes to students.

If it a college student many textbooks now have supplemental videos from the author

There are three main types of learners; visual, auditory, and tactile. Generally most people use all three but are stronger in one; discover what type is second and improve that one as well.

Attend discussion groups and listen to others

Learning is like building something, one layer is applied first, then the next and so on. It has been my experience that many students have "holes" in their foundational skills. They need to learn basic concepts first before going to the next level. Find the holes and fix them.
