The Latin which is common on crucifixes, the Greek or ST.George cross with arms of equal length often used with flags, The St.Andrew"s or Diagonal with an X-design used in Russian Naval and of course, combined with the George for the British Union Jack flag- also the Confederate flag. The Russian cross has three horizontal bars with the lowest one at a down-angle, it looks like a semaphore- if so the signal aspect would be- Line Diverges!- as the Eastern rite does! It is often used on tombstones and monuments- I saw a few in my town- RO cemetery section and klnew they could not all have been railroaders./ I was right. Oh and I forgot the Maltese or Iron Cross with eight points- The Russians used it also and the Alexandra cross (only 5 made) was a Platinum Maltese cross with Malachite inlay and pendants hanging down. one or possibly two survived the upheavals of the revolution. This was a house order and not a regular-issue war medal like the iRON cROSS. (German, of course) no soviet awards used a cruciform design, and the Japanese avoided it also, but not completely.
