Electoral votes are when the electoral college gets together and they vote on the president based on what the majority of their state wants. For those who don't know what the electoral college is, they are people that come from all 50 states to represent the people from the state and the bigger the state, the more people they get representing them (like the House of Representatives). They vote on the president based on what their state wants.
