valves are round T shaped things in the heads of engines. each cylander has at least 2 valves.one inlet and one exhaust. these valves seat in the heads and are controlled by the cam in the engine, the inlet valve opens to allow fuel into ignition chamber, while the exhaust valve will be closed. on the second half of engine cycle to that cylander the exhaust valve opens to allow the exhaust,(or burnt gas) to exit the engine. this all happens in every cylander in a proper sequence to make the engine run
noun
noun: valve; plural noun: valves
a device for controlling the passage of fluid through a pipe or duct, especially an automatic device allowing movement in one direction only.
synonyms: flap, gate, inlet, tap, faucet, stopcock "the valve on the tank needs to be replaced"
Electronics British term for thermionic tube.
noun: thermionic valve; plural noun: thermionic valves
Music a cylindrical mechanism in a brass instrument that, when depressed or turned, admits air into different sections of tubing and so extends the range of available notes.
The Valves are what controls the amount of water going where.
veins have valves. y
The tricuspid valves are different from the semilunar valves. The tricuspid valve is the right atrioventricular valve.
The upper heart valves are called atriums, and the lower heart valves are called ventricles.
Solenoid valves are electromechanically operated valves which are controlled by an electric current, mostly used in fluidics. There are different types of solenoid valves, one or two port valves.
Valves allow forward blood flow. Valves prevent the back flow of the blood. You have beautiful small muscles in your ventricles. They are called as papillary muscles. They are attached to the bicuspid and tricuspid valves and simultaneously contract, during the contractions of the ventricles, to prevent the collapse of the cusps of the valves. The aortic and pulmonary valves prevent the back flow by there anatomical advantage. This way, the valves ensure the continuous unidirectional flow of blood.
Trumpet valves Motorized pumping valves are two sets of valves.
Capillaries do not have valves. Veins are the blood vessels with valves.
There are two types of valves in an engine. The valves are located in the head. There are exhaust valves and fuel intake valves
veins have valves. y
No arteries have valves, only veins have valves to stop backflow.
Exhaust valves are always smaller.
Valves
Semilunar valves are open when the blood is being pumped. The AV valves are closed when the semilunar valves are open.
The 2014 Lincoln MKX has 24 valves.
