I am 13 so i know how hard it is to find a job as a kid. i have tried all of these and most of them have worked. i hope you make money soon and have FUN!

I am 12, I'm looking for a job for when i turn Thirteen, I'm not allowed a paper round as my dad says that a young girl shouldn't be around too early in the morning, i would like some suggestions, but i don't know how to gewt known as a babysitter, any suggestions welcome!

you should find a notice board near your house and put up a sign saying you will babysit and give a phone number, you will probaly get plenty of intrest, especially if you say your cheap.

Ahhh... fun things to do huh? well you can definitely babysit... i make about 70 bucks probably every week! Um here's one, if your a girl (this might sound stupid but it makes good money) and you like to do hair.... have you ever heard of American girl dolls? yeah well if any of your friends sisters have them or your neighbors, do their dolls hair! now i once did it and it started off small, then i once got 45 dollars because my neighbors told their cousins cause they have a lot off those dolls. there is a book you can buy that tells you how to do the hair and you you could do that! Lets see... have a lemonade sale! childish but good money on a hot day! or, have a craft sale or even have your own mini garage sale from the things in your room you can get rid of! I have tons of kids in my neighborhood and they love things like that, so that good. Maybe even sell water ice or something in the summer. Or towards Christmas time you can have a little Christmas sale have people come in your basement or some part of the house and have a table set up were kids can make their own reindeer food!! hope this helps good luck! really try these ideas youll be sure to get some good money! =)

Some good things you can do to make extra money are:

1. Collect and return pop bottles/cans.

2. Offer to babysit the neighbours kids (it's a good idea to get CPR certified at your local community center before starting this job, just in case something bad ever were to happen.)

3. Offer housecleaning service to family and friends

4. Walk your neighbours pets

5. Deliver the local community newspaper

6. If it snows where you live, shovel walkways

But remember, always tell your parents where you are going and who you are working with/for.

(If you are working but not telling them, always leave a dated note somewhere in your room saying where you actually are. That way if you were to ever go missing, they would find it and know where to look for you. )

Also, it's best to start your business with a friend and never go into stranger's homes until you have ok'd with it your gaurdian. Even creepy people can seem really nice at first- in fact, most creeps are extra nice in the beginning and this is how they gain your trust. Always be careful and trust your gut. If a situation is ever feeling weird, don't wait for something bad to happen just get out. Dont tell them you're leaving, just go. You can explain yourself later.

Other than that, good luck making money!! Make sure to open a bank account and start saving towards something big!

Paper run, doing people's lawns, washing their cars, washing their dogs, racking up leaves. Start with the neighbors first and if you get repeat business from them make up fliers in ur neighborhood and get your parents to help you with the fliers. Also, with a parent's permission, you could dig a hole in your backyard if you have one (again with parent's permission, watch for snake holes/fire ant piles/wires for cabble and such). You can dig until u start finding common rocks, such as quartz. Although these don't get much money for, they are still sellable to jewelers and such. You could alo find some less common than quartz minerals such as rose or smoky quarts. If you are really commited, you could rent a pole auger and dig a huge hole really far down and find even more rocks that are payable to jewelers. An alturnative to getting paid to do something, you could have your parent(s) agree to make your allowance higher if you are getting an allowance, if you use a large heavy duty pole auger and drill down until you reach some form of geothermal energy supply, and then releave oyur household of electricity bills, thus freeing up thousands of dollars to increase your allowance. These types of machinery, though, are not to be operated by 12 year olds. If you were to rent/buy one you should get someone older than you (21+ is my recommendation) to drill the holes while you test for geothermal activity and set up the generator. This ould take SERIOUS fine motor skills, but would be worth it if managable.
