You can tell them there are good people.
You can help them with social skills.
Etc. things like that can help. fml.
Reassure the child that it was in NO way their fault and help them release the emotions that are a result of the abuse. Validate their emotions regarding the abuse.Education allows us to understand and accept then let go. Helping a child to understand the "who what why", the facts of the situation will be put in the education towards understanding, thus they will not take blame. Abused children do not have to be traumatized their whole life. I was sexually abused ans physically abused. I now understand why my step brother pulled of my cloths and ...................and why my father would............................especially since my mother abandond me. I actually sought no on going counseling because many made it worse and just wanted to put drugs in me. Its understanding why and recognizing the entirey of sacrifices and no child is alone in it. We have thoughts that provoke feelings thus emotions then actions. So if we are educated our thoughs change thus emotions to be released.Iit is a greater power for one to persevere in such a sacrifice and still forgive, release emotional attachment to negative energy and still hold compassion. Yes we have to believe but how is a child to believe?, if we do not help them understand why it happens, how then are they going to believe they are not At Fault? You know. JusticeColino
