What area has the area code 711?

Answer:
I got a call from area code 711. If you look in normal phone books, it does not exist. This is, actually the truth, since it is NOT an AREA at all. It is a 3 digit CODE used by the telephone industry to indicate an internal "channel" used for telecommunications " RELAY " within the vast network - there is no physical location- I called Rogers Cellular, that delivered the call ( I did not answer, since I could not recognize the area code ! ) and was transferred from one operator to another, and finally was connected to their internal technical support, after 3 days of telephone calls. The normal operators in Phone offices do not even have 711 listed in their data bases! The 711 area code is used for such things as MACHINE ASSISTED VOICE, and I then realized who had called - Stephen Hawkings, who may have spent an hour laboriously typing out the message in advance, only to have me hang up on him (ouch ). I wish Rogers would transmit some information about the numbers that show up on my cell phone, since if it had said " Machine assisted Voice " I would have known. Mike Lazaridis had invited Stephen Hawkings to Waterloo's Perimeter Research Center , in Ontario, Canada, for a special function, and I had just put Stephen on my website, kidbots.com, and I suspect he was making some humorous remark, since I listed Stephen as "the best selling author" instead of internationally celebrated Physicist and Cosmologist... In any event, it was the ONLY time I have been contacted "personally" from someone on the 711 "area code", since usually there is a Secretary who relays a message...
The "area" included in the " 711 Area Code " includes all of the United States, Canada, and Europe, according to the Telecommunications Technician that I talked to, and may extend beyond that, ( I assume ) since one would suspect that calling Australia or Hong Kong would again, use the same "channel" within the vast communications network...

If you look at 411.com and other REVERSE look up websites, they just skip right over 711 and give no explanation of why certain area codes are NOT used or listed - they may actually be "USED ", but only hidden within the system itself.

Hope this helps
