What axle is the drive axle on a triaxle?

Answer:
On a tri-axle, there will be two drive axles, and a lift axle - either a pusher, which is located in front of the drive axles, or a tag, which is located behind the drive axles. The forward most drive axle is the actively engaged axle. If the differential lock is engaged, drive torque can be transmitted through both drive axles.
