Having unprotected sex with someone who hasn't been tested....Or should I say someone who you haven't verified for yourself and having anal sex. If you have herpes, you are at a higher risk to contract the virus.

∙ 14y agoHIV(Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is the virus that causes someone to develop AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.) AIDS is not contagious, HIV is.
HIV is transmitted through contact with infected blood, semen, vaginal fluid or breast milk. Any fluid-to-fluid contact with an HIV infected person's blood, semen, vaginal fluid or breast milk carries some degree of risk for infection.
Most commonly, HIV is transmitted though unprotected sexual contact and sharing of injection drug using equipment, but these are not the only activities that may put someone at risk for infection.
