Technically, Jesus never died. It says in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John that Jesus was crucified, but three days later, he arose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of his Father, The Lord God.

Christs body died but His spirit remained on earth. Remember when Mary tried to touch him by his burial place, he said "Touch me not for I have not yet assended unto my father in heaven". He was in the spirit and Mary would not have felt him anyway. No doubt he wished to spare her any shock of not being able to feel him.
