The description sounds like your cat is a silver/grey tabby. However, the term "tabby" is a coat pattern, and therefore is no indicator of the breed (many different breeds can have tabby markings). If the cat came with no certificate or papers saying what breed he/she is, then he/she is most likely is a mutt/moggy. "Moggy" just means that your cat has a mixed and/or unrecorded lineage.

The term "tabby" is just a coat color/pattern. A tabby cat is a cat that has black and grey spots and stripes, with either a white or a gold (or a white and gold) neck and belly. As far as I know, a tabby coat does not signify any particular breed of cat, but is just one of the more common coat colors of several domestic breeds of cat, including the American shorthair. The American shorthair is sort of the "mutt" breed of cat in the United States.

For example, one of the cats I have now is a gold tabby (he has black and grey spots and stripes, with a gold belly, and a little patch of white at his neck). Click on my User name (below, where it says "First Answer by LimeAid." It will take you to my User page. Scroll down a little bit for pictures of the cat. He is a common American shorthair. My parents also have a tabby cat, a white tabby (black and grey stripes with a white neck, belly, and paws). He is a cross between an American shorthair and a feral breed that roams the streets of New York City. Because he's part-feral, he's huge -- 26 pounds -- but he is still a tabby cat.

yes, because when they cross or have "sex" the plants will make a plant with a mix between the two or one will have recessive, "hidden" trait. say a plant has spots and antoher plant has stripes. they cross, and then their child has spots and stripes, or just spots, and stripes is hidden, or just stripes, and spots are hidden.
