There are many bulbs in the gauge cluster. The gauge cluster must be removed to gain access to them.
24 and 74
just take out the gauge cluster and remove the bulb. simple as that.
Remove 2 7mm bolts on instrument cover plastic. remove this part exposing the 4 7mm bolts that hold in the cluster then carefully remove instrument cluster from dash. On the back of the cluster you can remove the bulbs by turning them counter clockwise and pulling them out. Bulb number 194
first, disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, you will have to pull of the front of the dash first, then you will see four bolts on the cluster, one in each corner. remove those and the cluster will slide right out. unplug the harness connected to the top of the cluster. the cluster will then basically pull apart from there.
remove the gage cluster the bulb is on the back of the cluster
1. remove the entire dash board 2. remove the instrument cluster 3. change bulb
1. First you have to remove the 8 screws to remover the cluster cover. 2. Remove the clear plastic lens. 3. Remove the cluster metal panel. 4. Remover the gauge screws. 5. Disconnect the speed odometer cable from the behind the cluster. 6. Remove the gauges. 7. Remove the 2 nuts but the check engine light and seat belt light. 8. remove the cluster housing. 9. replace the bulb. or you can use the end of a 1/2" socket extension to pull the bulb without removing the cluster housing. Bulb fits perfect and wiggle the bulb out.
35505-SA5-003 is the part number through Honda. If you have a local junkyard, I would recommend going there and taking the bulbs out of the cluster on a junked Honda.
You'd have to change the entire gauge cluster. IE the tachometer and speedometer. The light bulb is a white light, and the gauges are colored red so in order to change the color of the gauges youd have to buy a custom made cluster. You'd have to change the entire gauge cluster. This is not a job for a novice as much can be harmed when working with the printed circuit etc. Take it to a garage.
you are going to have to remove the gauge cluster as well as the trim around it. a series of clips will get the trim off plus two screws at the top... four plillpis head screws will take out the cluster... the plastic glass on cluster pops off.. the black gauge trim falls out and there are your bulbs.. i don't know what kind they are.. i took out the one in my ashtray to replace it.
