What can I do if I like my teacher?

You didn't tell us how old you are, but I assume your emotions about your teacher are more than just thinking he or she is a skillful educator. The answer is you can't (and shouldn't) do anything about your feelings for your teacher. That may not be the answer you want, but it's really the best one. I understand that it's quite normal to have a crush on a teacher, especially one who is attractive and personable. I've known many students, myself among them, who imagined going on a date with a certain teacher. But while wishing and dreaming are harmless pastimes, having an actual date with a teacher would not be harmless at all. In fact, teachers who date students, especially young students, are doing something very wrong. Even if you are an older student (like, in high school age), it's unethical-- and in some states, it's illegal-- for teachers and students to have a personal relationship.

So, be friendly and courteous to the teacher, but your relationship should remain professional-- you are there to learn about a certain subject, and the teacher is there to help you to gain the knowledge. Romances between teachers and students have all kinds of potential difficulties (both emotional and legal), and such relationships rarely work out. Again, there's nothing wrong with fantasizing or dreaming about what you wish might happen; but it's not a good idea for teachers to date their students, nor for students to try to make that happen.
