A normal, more balanced girl, rather than one who puts too much focus, time, money, energy and emphasis on looks; a girl who will grow into a woman, one who will be able to focus on her future in a more positive and constructive way.
No matter how beautiful a girl is, the beauty will eventually fade. So it's important to put more focus on the beauty on the inside, as well as her education and plans for her future that don't depend on beauty.
Girls who grow up thinking beauty is what really matters are hit especially hard after they get older and their looks begin to fade. When that happens, many of them go into a depression, feeling as though they have nothing left to offer, and even feel they are worthless.
And by aging, I don't mean old, I'm talking about women as young as their late 20's and early 30's. If you want to participate in beauty pageants, by all means, go for it. Just keep a healthy emotional balance, and realize that you are more than your looks - much more. You need to go into it with plans for your future that don't include how you look, whether it's a career in a business you like, or being a wife and mother, or anything in between.
Turn into? She doesn't turn into anything. She is still a human being. If you are asking what career path is available to someone that has been on the beauty pageant track, the list is endless. Most finish college or go on to graduate degrees (Law, medicine, PhDs etc.). Some have successful careers in the entertainment industry.
