What can a person do if an officer said that you said something which you never said?

some options to explore:
1-- prove you didn't say it through eyewitness testimony from others who were there?
2-- offer evidence you didn't say it because it's something you would not have said, it's not logical or would not have made any sense for you to say something like that.
3-- prove that the statement was false and so easily proveably false that only a complete idiot (which you are not) would have said something like that.
4-- show the officer didn't hear you well. Background noise, accent, speech impairment, hearing impairment for the cop, etc.
5-- Accuse the officer of lying to put a false charge on you and then back it up with some evidence that the cop (A) is prejudiced against you or your kind of people (O.J. Simpson's murder defense was to blame a racist detective). Or back up your claim that the officer is lying by impeaching the cop's credibility in a way that is allowed by the rules of evidence in you jurisdiction (example: specific prior acts of lying. Having a reputation for dishonesty. Having been convicted of certain kinds of crimes in his past (not likely for a cop!)
