∙ 13y agoThe Carbon Monoxide will lower the amount of oxygen going to the baby thus causing potential respiration problems and a low birth weight. The baby will not be developed enough to deal with this and other toxins in cigarettes which can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth or even sudden infant death syndrome (cot death). Also, depending on how much you smoke, the baby can become addicted in the womb and therefore have to go through withdrawl symptoms after being born.

It is harmful because everything that goes into your body enters your bloodstream and is distributed to your fetus through the blood as well. Anything, not just cigarette smoking, can harm your baby.

You are sending dangerous toxins to your baby and depriving them of clean healthy oxygen they need to thrive and how normally. You are risking birth defects when you chance it!! Don't do it!!
