If you find a way to make hair grow faster, then you can make your dreadlocks grow faster too.

If you mean how to make them mature faster, there are a couple of ways to do so, and you can combine them all.
- Wear a wool dreadlock hat that you can put your hair inside. The friction of your hair inside the hat will tighten them up faster.
- Sleep on a pillow that is covered by a wool (or acrylic) sweather. Same idea as with the hat.
- Dunk your head into salt water and go dry in the sun.
- Play with your hair a lot.

Anything that would make normal hair grow faster, such as vitamin E and Horsetail. If you are asking what makes dreadlocks mature faster, here are some things:

Dreadlock maintenance is most effective when locks are clean and dry.

-Palm roll them daily. Doing this in the morning especially can help if they've gotten squished and flattened from sleeping on them. -Clock-wise rubbing. Rub the root of the lock against your scalp in a clock-wise motion for a while. This will create a mass of knotted hair out of the new hair growth that will eventually form into a lock. Note: don't rub too hard, this should not be painful at all. Just a small amount of friction will create knots. Why clock-wise? Because most hair grows in a clock-wise figure.

-Get rid of loose hairs by rubbing loose hairs between your fingers in a circular motion until they form a little ball of knotted hair, and stick the ball into the root of a lock. Follow with a bit of clock-wise rubbing. -Wash them regularly with residue-free shampoo.

-You can purchase a sea-saltwater spray that effectively tightens locks from the link below.

Miracle-grow and if that's not possible... think of this: hair grows slower than usual if you're not getting enough of the right nutrients, but you can't really make you hair grow faster than the normal rate and since knotting up dreadlocks typically takes away anything from an inch of hair up to a whole 1/3rd of the original length, it's going to seem to be growing slower in terms of how long it's getting, since it needs to knot up! i heard taking some herbal stuff can make your hair grow faster. kelp seaweed? but apparently sometimes it causes weird things to happen: girls growing facial hair or maybe just hairier bodies etc. should just be patient and make sure you keep your locks natty and knotty!

Hair on the human head grows at an average rate of 0.5 inches per month; nothing will cause dreadlocks to grow faster.
