What can you do if the car you just purchased was forced off the road by another car that didn't stop and you had not yet purchased insurance?

When you say, 'just purchased' how long? Did you have another insurance policy that you were going to transfer? Or other policys and were going to add this one to them? That is very important. If not, you have no other policys and never had, then sounds like this loss/damage will be paid out of pocket. I sincerly doubt that the dealers insurance will cover anything once all the papers are signed and you are the rightful owner.. Is there a lein holder? You might contact anyone that might have an interest and look for coverage, but frankly it looks bleak...sorry, If you would like to give more details perhaps I can be of more assistance.
