If a minor is truly in an abusive situation they should contact the local police for assistance or the National Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-422-4453. Be advised charging a parent or anyone with abuse is a serious issue and can result in the arrest and incarceration of the person if they are found guilty of said crime(s). Likewise it is a crime for anyone to file false allegations of abuse or any other criminal acts. This is wrong. But do not fear.
