It's wise to see your vet to find out what is causing the diarrhea. Diarrhea that is left unchecked with your cat can throw the cat into dehydration very quickly. It could be caused by the food it is being fed, poor nutrition to parasites or worms, but it's best to let your vet decide the diagnosis. Do so immediately.

∙ 12y agoIf your cat is throwing up don't give it medacine. Instead It might need a little comforting. If it doesnt stop after a while bring it to a vet. You shouldn't let it have water right away but let it have a few sips in a while. it might just be hungry. in like ten minutes give it a bite of food. if it throws up again then seek a professional vet.

∙ 13y agoTake it to the vet or call a vet and ask them. Also try smelly foods such as cat food with fish in, or you could try feeding the cat some real fish such as pilchard. Another thing to try is to warm the food up a little to increase the smell.

∙ 8y agoWhile cats sound horrible when vomiting, it is not necessary to do anything. They are primarily trying to cough up hair or hairball from their esophagus they swallowed when grooming. You can give your cat a hairball remedy, or let the cat lick up a teaspoon of butter (not low fat, not margarine, but butter). This coats the digestive system, allowing the hairball to enter the stomach and intestines, where it will finally pass as waste.
