What can you sell on eBay that you get for free and auction off your time and effort?

Getting things completely free might be difficult, but there are plenty of items you can buy cheap. Many people make a business out of buying large lots of books at yard sales, charity shops, etc. and listing them on eBay individually. The same is probably also done with just about any item you can buy at a boot sale, garage sale, charity sale, thrift shop, etc.

For absolutely free items, you might consider minor geological or historical artifacts that can be found in your local area. For example, many parts of the world have fossils that are virtually worthless -- there to be picked up on the beach, etc. -- but are valuable to someone on the other side of the world.

One thing I have bought on ebay is coupons that people have cut out and put together. For example, I bought 20 coupons for Suave hair products for $2.00, including shipping, and it saved me $40!
