What carpet should be be used in a high traffic area?

Answer:

This would depend on where the high traffic area is. For example a hotel reception area would normally have a wilton or Axminster carpet which are heavy duty. An office would normally have carpet tiles 50 cm2 so that they can be raised for easy access to the cables underneath. So that engineers can carryout maintenance . Carpet tiles are generally a heavy duty synthetic product , where as Wilton and Axminster carpets are normally 80% wool and 20% nylon.
