That would be The Jetsons. Not only was it originally in B&W, stations later could choose whether to broadcast in B&W or color.

I cannot locate an animated black and white spaced based TV series. I did find one called Space Patrol from 1962 which featured marionettes
The only two themes you can have are 'black' and 'cartoon'. 'Black' is the preset mode, and the display is black and white. 'Cartoon' is a mode where everything is orange, brown or white.

Snoopy was black and white because he probably wasn't a beagle.
