My 1993 Ciera just went through this. Hesitation, sputters, sometimes fine, sometimes horrible, and everything in between. My solution was to replace the fuel pump. The filter was also dirty but did not remedy the problem. AC Delco pump and new filter + labor at a shop = $550. Have someone check the fuel pressure at the block. Price will help you decide if it's worth keeping... Good luck!
cracked or broken wiring, blown fuse
not near enough cause i don,t own one
you have to be more specific for a proper answer... at what speed does it shake?.... 40mph> ? what do you mean mist?
If there are no visible leaks....a blown head gasket.
if it smells like antifreeze inside the cockpit then your problem is the heatercore, since you can't see it.
It will, if it causes the fuel mixture to be out of range.
No, backfire is usually caused by park plug wires that are installed incorrectly or an engine that is out of time. Fuel filter and pump will not cause backfire.
Incorrect Timing Can Cause Backfire.
Expect 26 city, 34 highway in realworld. EPA estimates and different driving styles may cause variation.
Having no catalytic converter installed is illegal and can cause a myriad of problems. Probably not a backfire though.
Yes
Normally you do not get carbon buildup on injectors. They can get gummed a little, or blocked, but that should not cause backfire. Check timing.
