The only thing that can change the motion of an object is a net (unbalanced) force acting on it. This is given by Newton's First Law of Motion, sometimes also called the Law of Inertia.

it is a common question....but primarily a body in motion is caused to change it motion only due to a force ....just follows laws of newton......

example:consider a body moving on a surface it slowly reduces in absence of continuos force acting on it.....it is only due to frictional force opposing the motion of the body.

but the question could be more specific..

Any real, non-zero force must change motion. To rule out imaginary forces, make sure the coordinate system is a non-rotating, non-accelerating system.

What is a charge in motion called?

These forces that cause a change in motion are called Unbalanced Forces, therefore forces that never cause a change in motion and stay the same are called Balanced Forces.

What forces causes no change in an object motion?

Balanced forces that net to zero cause no change in an object motion.

What forces can cause change in motion?

Which cause change in motion balanced forces or unbalanced forces?

unbalanced foeces

What causes no change in an objects motion?

Balanced forces that net to zero cause no change in an object motion.

What causes change in an objects motion?

Balanced forces that net to zero cause no change in an object motion.

Is change in anobjet's motion anunbalanced force?

Not exactly. 'Motion' or 'change of motion' are not force. But the only way to change an object's motion is to cause the group of forces on it to be unbalanced. If the object's motion is changing, then you can be sure that the group of forces acting on it is unbalanced.

What three forces cause an object to change its motion?

The three forces that causes an object to change its motion are the gravitational force, the normal force and the frictional force.

Do all forces cause a change in motion?

yes it depends if you push or pull if you do then thats motion

Forces will cause all what?

Forces are considered balanced when all of the combined forces lead to no change in the motion of the object.

What are the Forces that result in no change in an object's motion?

Forces that are equal in magnitude, opposite in direction and acting on the same object will not create a change in said objects motion.

What force's cancel each other out and do not change an objects motion?

The action and reaction forces are the forces that cancel each other. They do not change an object motion or cause the object to accelerate.
