Watery bowel movements - also known as diarrhea (alternately spelled diarrhoea) - can be caused by a number of things, including intestinal diseases, the flu, bad drinking water, food poisoning, tumors, greasy food...the list is almost endless.

But it's really nothing to worry about unless it occurs often. That could point to something more serious, like Crohn's Disease or colitis.

Anything really, including a healthy diet. The regularity in which we have bowel movements will vary from person to person, as well as, be influenced by stress, eating habits, and so on. There is nothing abnormal about this unless you noticed pain/irritation/or abnormal bowel movements.

Runny foods and water are mainstays of our diet when we are ill. Imbalances in diet, along w/ bacterial or viral infections panic our immune systems into action. Elimination of loose formless stools such as in the case of 'Montezuma s' Revenge' result.

Lack of fluid in the diet. Whatever fluids we take in - anything that's not absorbed by the body, is expelled in urine and faeces.
