There are a number of things which can cause a goat to go blind:
- pinkeye (keratoconjunctivitis)
- Vitamin A deficiency
- lead poisoning
- bacterial meningitis
- juvenile form of CAE
- polioencephalomalacia
- listeriosis
- FSE
- scrapie
- louping ill
- pregnancy toxaemia
and certain plant poisonings (eg rape).
