Lug bolts are normally hammered or drawn into place with the use of the wheel. They are removed the same. Remove the wheel, you may have to set the rotor in such a position that allows for the lug removal. Usually a very small gap allows for it. Take a good hammer and carefully pound it in till it pops out the back. Take your new one and push it in than tap it a few times till enough thread is showing that it can be drawn in all the way with the wheel installed.
When the 13mm battery hold down has stripped, then you have a couple of options. You could use a longer bolt of a smaller diameter to go through the stripped out section then lock down with a nut on the bottom, or the 13mm can be drilled out and tapped to a bigger size.
There are two reasons for a stripped lug nut: Installed incorrectly, threaded on at an angle. Overtightened, generally by some one with an air impact and not torquing to value.

Use an impact wrench to either remove it or break it. Then replace the lug. Cut it off with a chisel if you can't get a socket on it.
If your lucky you can pound a smaller socket onto the nut and remove it. More often than not you need to weld a larger nut onto the stripped one, then turn the larger nut. Most tire shops can help if you don't happen to own a mig welder.
