This could be a couple of things:

Iron Deficiency
Yeast Infection (yes it can happen near and around your mouth, also candida can infect your saliva)
bacterial infection
severe eczema
wet rot (do you slobber a lot in your sleep? this is probably the cause)


I would recommend going to your dentist asap, unless the cracking appears elsewhere on your body too. He will probably prescribe a topical ointment to put on it.

This means the skin is really dry and needs to be dealt with.

Drink loads of water and use some special cream or something to rub into the dry skin parts.

I've read that a lack of vitamin B causes it. Try taking vitamin B and see if it gets better.

It could be Iron Deficiency Anemia. That is a sign/symptom of that.
