A person's gallbladder may stop working for a variety of reasons. Namely, it may be filled with stones or infected. If this is the case, the person will want to have their gallbladder removed so it does not cause them pain.
The gallbladder is a sac located under the liver. It stores and concentrates bile produced in the liver. Bile help the body digest fats. It releases fat from the gallbladder into the upper small intestine in reaction to food. This conditions causes slow or obstructed flow of bile out of the gallbladder result in gallbladder disease. Gall bladder disease causes inflammation, infection, stones, or obstruction of the gallbladder.
One of the major causes for the gall bladder disease is gallstones. Gallstones are mainly formed due to the excess of cholesterol in the bile or incomplete emptying of the gall bladder. In some cases, gallstones are formed when the gall bladder removes too much water from the stored bile. The diseased gall bladder can't sustain its normal activity and the process of digestion is perturbed.
