Moisture..........water......high humidity. Warping (or cupping) is usually moisture from underneath. A moisture meter can help determine where it may be coming from. Water leaks behind a frig, pipe leaks or just a damp crawl space are just a few causes. Once you've found whats causing it you can deal with it.
Now a crowning floor is usually cause by to much moisture on the surface (i.e. flooding of a floor or to much water used during mopping). A corrective measure may be a dehumidifier on the opposite side of the cup. It'll take some time but this is a cheaper measure then floor replacement. But once a floor has buckled it's almost a lost cause. Have a flooring specialist of contractor take a look at it before it's to late.
Hope this help.

Moisture could be causing the wood to swell and if the flooring cannot expand outward it has to go up. Another possibility is dirt getting into the joints between the boards and, like the moisture problem above, the flooring expands.
mainly because the heat makes the wood weak. Therefore making it warp. (okay honestly, I'm guessing)
The Ceramic titles draw heat away from your body faster than the wood floors. **Note: They are both the same temperature
This depends on the severity of the scratch. Some of them can be fixed with a lick of wood varnish. Some of them are more severe and need to be sanded down before applying a new coat of varnish. If this isn't possible, then you'll have to replace at least part of the floor.
Not all types of wood float, but most do. The fact that wood generally floats is simply because it is less dense than water.
Hard wood floors
ply wood and hard wood floors
Boards as they age will absorb moisture or dry out. It causes the wood to warp or curve, making it 'cup.'
Hard wood floors are considered better than carpets if someone has an allergy because carpets hold dust and pollen far more. Hard wood floors are also easier to clean. Carpets are better at giving a warmer feel to the room and are softer on the feet.
Nail varnish remover
That depends what kind of 'film' it is.
It depends on who you get to do the job .I did it myself and it wasnt that hard
Oil based cleansers are great for hard wood floors. Water or too many chemicals can really mess up hard wood floors. Every once in a while you can use the steam shark it works great.
wet paper towel with soap
Basic prefinished hard wood can be had for much less than parquet.

No, they are usually hard wood. They use wax to condition and clean the wood floors.
