I have had the same problems with my right shoulder too!! (your not alone!). Mine has been severe mainly at night too!!! My family has had a long history of scoliosis though, so I thought it my have somthing to do with that. IT DOES!!!!! but also there are other ways to like PINCHED nerves which cause it too!! I'm not sure if this can help or not due to the fact that im only 12 years old. Also if your like me and play sports (like softball:) ) It could be a muscle soreness!! I hope this has helped!!! Good luck

It means you hit your "funny bone", which really isn't a bone at all. It is the striking of your ulnar nerve, which is not well protected as it curls around the elbow and then goes back to deeper tissue again as it travels down the forearm.

If it is a sudden pain in the upper arm and numbness in fingers it can potentially be a heart attack. If the symptoms have been occurring over a longer period of time it can be a poor circulation problem. (Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, any sudden severe pain should warrant contacting your doctor).
