Twitching in any part of your body can be caused by a couple of things;
1) Not enough electrolytes, causing your nerves to mis-fire
2) Over-exertion
A simple solution would be to drink a sports drink with potassium in it, or have a banana and see if the twitching stops.
(Lack of electrolytes used to give me horrible cramps in my feet, until I learned what was causing it and started making sure I got enough potassium in my system)
