It could be a fuse, a short or possibly the heater core which isn't to expencive. If you have water on your floor board its deffinatly the core.
If it works then not works all the time then its a short.
And if it stopped working all together with out a wet floor board it could be a fuse.
Do yourself a favor and have a mechanic fix it , trust me it will be cheaper in the long run or even the dealer do it because they wont guess at it as much as a regular mechanic would. I would start by testing the temp control unit hit off and floor @ same time then auto if you get a error 24 25 and hear a clicking noise it's a bend door actuator. best get a mechanic for this 1 requires you to pull the whole dash for this fix
