What causes wrinkles?

Answer:
Breakdown of the elastic proteins (elastin) and major structural proteins (collagen) in the skin allows wrinkles to appear. The cells producing these proteins produce less of them with age; the rate at which this happens is partially genetic. Smoking and UV light (sunlight and tanning beds) speed up this process. Wrinkles are more prominent in areas where muscle motion causes the skin to be moved in the same way over and over....like "crow's feet" at the corners of the eyes from smiling or squinting.

The following are the main wrinkles causes:

1 - Sun exposure

2 - Aging process

3 - Lifestyle such as cigarette smoking and drinking too much alcohol
