Many different things can cause left arm pain, so you should see a doctor to determine the cause. Most of us freak out and fear we are having a heart attack when the L arm aches. While this is a legitimate concern and should be considered it is not usually the cause.
Acid reflux (GERD) often causes aching in the L neck and arm (I don't know why). If you have acid reflux, or think you might, consider this as a cause. Also a number of muscular or nerve problems such as pinched nerves or muscle spasms can cause aching in the arm.
note: I'm not a doctor, but I have experienced this myself many times and have seen a doctor and done extensive research on the topic. Don't take my answer as medical advice, but as advice from my own experience and research.

On the left side of the chest.
It isn't. In almost everyone, the heart is on the left side of the chest. On a chest x-ray, however, the heart is on the right-hand side of the picture because that is where the patient's left is! It is as if the patient is standing in front of you, facing you... their right is on your left and their left is on your right.
yes of course
Left side^Answer1It is actually in the middle of the chest but you can feel the pulse on the left side.^My AnswerThe heart is located in the center of the chest. People think that it is in the left side of the chest, but in reality it is in the center - it is tilted slightly to the left - and the left side generates more pressure - hence the thinking that it is left side.
