What changed in the noble clothes during the medieval times?

Answer:

The clothing in the middle ages was mainly made of wool and the undergarments made of linen. Brighter colors, better materials, and a longer jacket length were usually signs of greater wealth. The clothing of the aristocracy tended to be elaborate and changed according to fashion of the time. Towards the end of the middle ages men of wealthy classes sported hose and a jacket often with pleating or skirting or a tunic with a surcoat. Later, certain colors could also only be worn the nobility. Common people were forbidden, by law, to wear red, purple, and blue. These colors were very expensive to use and produce.
