Typically, 'Colored Additives' are added to the grout before it is applied. This is done on purpose to change the color to something different than the chalky whitish color that is inherent to grout.
If your grout is not 'sealed', then dirt, moisture, grease, stains, even human sweat WILL discolor the grout. This is not desireable.
Grout changes color when it dries/cures some sealants give it a wet look.mixing grout with hard water will also effect it, different lots (grouts made at different times may differ somewhat)when doing a large area dry mix bags together then add the additive or water. if you have to stop before its all done stop in areas that will be less noticed you get what ya pay for in sealents,grouts,additives.
