Clearwater Beach and Tampa also make the claim of 361 days of sunshine per year; The point is really moot, however, since in any given year, the rainfall total in any of these cities will vary. It is more of a claim used by the various cities' chambers of commerce (Clearwater Beach, Tampa-St. Pete) as a commercial calling card than it is a matter of hard fact. No city can honestly lay claim to the exact same number of rainfree days per year, including Clearwater Beach, Saint Petersburg and Tampa. It looks great on an advertising marquis, though!
