In the beginning of the movie, the city in 'Cloudy with a chance of meatballs' was called Swallow Falls and was famous for its sardines.
Towards the end of the movie (once it was becoming a tourist attraction due to food falling from the sky) the name was changed to Chew And Swallow.
Neither is a real place.

∙ 13y agoAt first, it starts out as Swallow Falls. The mayor renames the town Chewandswallow once food began to rain. In the end credits, the town is rebuilt and named Chewandswallow 2.

The mini-game "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" is an advertisement for the computer-animated movie by Columbia / Sony, to be released September 18, 2009 after about three years in production. The movie is based on the 1978 illustrated children's book by Judi and Ron Barrett. (The Disney arcade game "Bedknobs and Broomsticks" appeared on Poptropica for users between the ages of 6 and 9.) The object of the game is to return the "OFF" switch that will stop the constant cascade of food falling from the sky. The device was created by inventor Flint Lockwood, and must be shut down. (Falling food includes sub sandwiches, ice cream cones, bananas, and of course meatballs.) Solution The game is in two stages. In the first part, the player flies in a helicopter to the city, where everything is already covered in food. In a harmless but persistent rain of meatballs, the player makes his way to the far end of town (to the left), where the "OFF" button is atop the last building, nestled in a giant sprinkled doughnut. You will need to climb the ice cream covered building just to the right, and jump left from the top banana.* You only have 60 seconds to get it and return to the dock. In the second stage, coming back to the right, the helicopter is gone and the player must sail a swiss-cheese-and-pizza raft across a cheese-covered sea to return to the lab. Various foods fall toward the raft during a 50 to 60-second voyage. The player must avoid being hit by falling food : three hits and you fail, and must try again. Returning the OFF button gives the player two rewards : a Flint Lockwood / Samantha Sparks costume and a mini-cloud that rains meatballs for a few seconds. Other Notes NOTE : You can keep an OFF button card by replaying the game. (exit and come back in) It is slightly easier to play the game from either Early Poptropica (jetpack) or Super Power Island (flying power), because you can more easily reach the rooftop.
