Every accredited nursing school program will have a slightly different set of course requirements. As a prerequisite, most nursing programs require a background in English, communications, chemistry, science, biology, anatomy, and physiology. One enrolled in an actual RN program, coursework will include microbiology, anatomy, psychology, pathology, pharmacology and several more specific electives depending on which area of nursing you place to specialize in.
