caca color, thats my opionion.(:
In my opinion, any brown- based color would look great...but probably most like this color
Because there is no true "Gray" color, but actually a base color that grays with age, one would have to know the base color of the dam (mare) before being able to give any sort of prediction of foal color.
Well possibly, this would mainly depend on the color of the mare. Buckskin is a dilute color and will dilute the base color of a horse (Bay + Cream= buckskin etc,).
Id go with black.. i have a FleaBitten Grey Arab Mare and she has a black halter i know its boring but just to be safe ....
Like with humans you have to look at genetics. The dominant gene will trump the others usually.
According to Wikipedia, the color of the old grey mare in the folk song was really- grey, as it said nothing about any other color in the lyrics.
I am not absolute on this, but what I would say, is that it depends on the breed. If it were a Percheron gelding, competing against a Thoroughbred mare, the TB is faster, but the Percheron is stronger. So you would have to be more specific on your question. This is the best advice I can give you. Thank you.
a horse
This website has a wonderful color wheel. Since I am not exactly sure what color your mare is, I will just post the link under related links.
Gray.
It depends on whether the stallion or mare is homogeneous for a certain color gene. You could have many possibilities, but a logical predication would be either palomino, chestnut, white, or bay. (Bay and chestnut being the two most common horse colors.)
Another word for mare would be filly
